Following the recent and ongoing strike of the workers in the automotive industry of USA, today more than 300 000 workers are in the streets, demanding wage increases, insurance, decreasing of working hours. Indicatively, we mention that among the strikers are 75 000 healthcare workers, who additionally to the other sectors’ strikers have led the country to a record national strike wave.
Once again, the WFTU expresses its firm internationalist solidarity with workers in the USA and fully supports their just demands, especially at a time when the companies are gaining millions in profits and the workers are suffering the aftermath of the new capitalist crisis and inflation. We recognize that the strike in the USA constitutes an integral part of the unstoppable wave of struggles all over the globe. We will keep standing in solidarity with the demands of the working class in all the world!
