PAME expresses its solidarity with the US workers who are fighting for wage increases and jobs with rights. We support the struggles of workers fighting to avoid becoming slaves in the 21st century.
We denounce the supposedly “progressive” Biden Administration which, at the public request of the big capitalists, ran to ask Congress to impose the Corporations’ rejected proposal for a Collective Bargaining Agreement on railroad workers and to ban the workers’ right to strike and demand wage increases.
The irony is that just a week ago the well-known US-NATO “trade union” puppet, the notorious ITUC welcomed President Biden to its congress as a major ” supporter of the trade unions”. Once again acting as a laundry of the imperialists and a cultivator of illusions about the role of supposedly “progressive” governments and anti-right-wing fronts.
Governments that swear by “protecting the economy”, “competitiveness and profitability”, while working families fight to survive in poverty and cold, with food coupons and food banks, in reality these governments swear by defending capitalism, protecting the monopolies and the profits of a small minority.
These defenders of the monopolies, whether liberal, social democrat, green, yellow or supposedly ‘progressive’, will not hesitate to impose the most violent and anti-worker policies. They will not hesitate to attack the most basic rights of workers in defence of the bosses’ profits.
To all of them we answer:
Our rights are won through collective, organised and massive struggles.
THE WORKERS’ RIGHT TO STRIKE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
WORKERS’ RIGHTS ARE NOT GIVEN AWAY BY GOVERNMENTS AND BOSSES
THEY WERE WON THROUGH HARD-CLASS STRUGGLES
AGAINST THE MONOPOLIES AND THE GOVERNMENTS THAT SERVE THEM
Railway workers around the world have a long history of struggles, demands and conquests. Without them nothing moves. That’s why the working class has enormous power. Power that we can put into practice, a great weapon in our struggle for wage increases, for a better life.
PAME supports the just struggle of the rail workers in the USA, whatever form the workers themselves choose. On the front of the Business Groups-Government-Yellow Unions, workers respond by strengthening Solidarity, by strengthening the collective struggle. We put into practice the historic slogans of the working class
An injury to one is an injury for all
The victory of one will be the victory of all workers
Solidarity with the struggle of the US railroad workers for wage increases.
