The 8th General Assembly of FSBN-KASBI was held under the theme, “Strengthening Unity to Realise Progressive Political Power of
The Labour Class!” On 26th and 27th August 2023, the Federation of Trade Unions of the Archipelago, a constituent of the KASBI Confederation, organised the event.
All 21 bases of Company level management were represented by 400 members from different regions, including Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, Serang Regency, Jakarta, and Bogor.
The General Assembly is the most democratic forum in the Tangerang Federation of Trade Unions and is held every four years. It is carefully prepared by the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee, Labor Council, and all members through meetings.
At the general assembly, the main topics discussed involved evaluations and program plans that will serve as the foundation for the Nusantara Federation of Trade Unions’ efforts towards becoming a larger, more progressive and militant workers’ organisation. Expressed opinions are avoided.
