GFYTU Statement Condemning the US Aggression Against Work Facilities and Workers in Yemen
The General Federation of Yemeni Trade Unions (GFYTU) condemns and denounces the clear American aggression on Yemen and the targeting of industrial civilian facilities. The latest targeting was the Al-Sawari ceramics factory in Sana’s governorate, Bani Matar district, where the factory was directly bombed yesterday evening. The result of this attack was 36 martyrs and wounded; Workers were targeted and 29 others were injured from the factory workers, homes and farms next to the factory, including 5 children and one woman.
The General Union also stated that the number of martyrs and wounded victims of the US aggression on civilian factories from March 16 to April 14 has reached 370 workers and citizens, including 123 martyrs, this includes women and children.
The General Union calls on the international community, human rights and humanitarian organizations, as well as the Arab and international labor organizations to take swift action to hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable and ensure they are not left unpunished.
