Labor United Educational League is proud to announce we are releasing the recordings from the Harry Bridges School of Labor sessions. Launched in Spring 2023, the Harry Bridges School of Labor is a monthly class held 2x per month. Classes cover a variety of topics aimed at building class conscious among union members. The seventh session of the Harry Bridges School of Labor was Part 1 of The History of the Congress of Industrial Organization (C.I.O.) We will review the origins of the C.I.O. We reviewed the earlier stages in the labor movement and how it lead to the idea of Industrial Unionism embodied in the formation of the C.I.O.
