WFTU Secretariat Holds Special Meeting on Israel Crime in Jenin

A WFTU Secretariat non-regular meeting was specially convened on January 30th, 2023 with WFTU Secretariat members and WFTU affiliates from Palestine to discuss the developments after the new unspeakable crime of the Israeli state against the heroic people of Palestine and to decide the further reaction of the WFTU.

The World Federation of Trade Unions on behalf of its 105 million workers from 133 countries of the 5 continents strongly condemns the new crime conducted by the barbaric occupation forces in Jenin and reaffirms its unconditional internationalist solidarity with the people of Palestine and their just fight for an independent homeland to live in freedom and their unalienable right to self-determination, their right to decide freely and democratically for their own present and future.

The WFTU Secretariat calls its affiliated to undertake initiatives and organised condemnation protests, delivering to the embassies of Israel the  WFTU  condemnation statement on the  murdering of Palestinians in the city of Jenin:  https://www.wftucentral.org/the-wftu-condemns-the-murdering-of-palestinians-in-the-city-of-jenin/

Moreover, a WFTU solidarity campaign is decided to take place in the coming period to support the Palestinian fight for the immediate recognition of the Palestinian State as a free, independent, sovereign, and viable State on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.  The WFTU solidarity campaign will culminate in April 2023 with a solidarity event in Palestine with the participation of a WFTU international delegation.
