The WFTU expresses its solidarity with the Greek people following the tragedy of a train collision that took place resulting in tens of causalities, on the 28th of February in the city of Larissa.
Our colleagues in Greece have warned continuously regarding the dangers of such accidents, and specifically, just three weeks ago the Greek railways’ unionists from PAME warned in a statement on the imminent danger of collision on the specific train route.
This is a new crime caused by the thirst for profit of the bourgeoise class that is once again sacrificing workers’ and innocent people’s lives for the sake of profit. The WFTU firmly fights against privatizations and policies that put profit over people.
