The World Federation of Trade Unions welcomes the South Africa’s claim before the International Court of Justice against Israel’s genocide in Palestine.
Despite the continuous calls for a ceasefire and an end to the crimes committed by the murderous State of Israel, the genocide continues to unfold and has so far costed the lives of more than 20,000 Palestinians, the majority of them civilians and children.
Despite the fact that we are under no illusion that any decision by the International Court of Justice will put an end to Israel’s murderous actions and the support it receives from imperialist powers, the South African initiative is a courageous act which once again highlights the need for an immediate end to the bloodshed.
