GREECE: Solidarity with Cuba – Submissions to the UN Universal Periodic Review

PAME and trade unions in Greece, National Federations and Regional Workers’ Centres have made presentations to the UN Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on Cuba, expressing relations of friendship, cooperation and solidarity with the trade unions, people and CTC of Cuba.

In their writings, PAME and the unions of Greece pointed to Cuba’s achievements in defending and promoting human rights, as well as the successes of the Cuban people in health and education, in protecting workers and women, and denounced the consequences of the murderous blockade of the US and its allies that has lasted since 1961.

PAME, the militant trade unions of Greece are firmly on the side of the Cuban people and will continue to strengthen solidarity initiatives with the Cuban people and their unions.
